BOOKS THAT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE

In my 32-year journey as a Christian these books have been friends and mentors to me. There are good reasons to read other writers besides the Bible. I cherish the relationship with God that others have of in. I deeply value the insights and experience of others with the living God and His Word. Books are a gift from God to give us wisdom, knowledge, and deepen our intimacy with the Lord. Books are meant to enlarge our grasp of truth and to make us wiser. They are meant to stretch our thinking and help us to grow. When we read the ideas of those who have thought deeply and profoundly, we are stimulated to think more deeply and profoundly as well. We are also empowered to feel the depth and passion for God that burned in their souls. These writers have intensified my taste for the God, the Bible, and personal growth so that in all things, God would be glorified and I would be most satisfied with Him. Like J.I. Packer has stated: "The people that know God think great thoughts of God." Read and grow! Each book is described in terms of the areas that they have influenced me.
